The transformative year of 2020 spotlighted the importance of diverse voices in design. The Black Lives Matter movement triggered a ripple effect, urging us to recognize and celebrate the spectrum of cultures, including Asian and LatinX designers.
This shift has allowed the design industry to blossom with a myriad of colors, styles, and narratives.
My Mexican roots run deep, influencing every brushstroke of my design philosophy. The vivid interiors, lively colors, and functional architecture of Mexico City captured my heart.
The Mexican emphasis on gatherings and celebrations stands in stark contrast to the American culture of front yards merely for show. The enclosed spaces, vibrant colors, and atriums in Mexican architecture have left an indelible mark on my design ethos.
My journey into design began in the artistic Napa Valley, where creativity was as abundant as the grapevines.
While my formal education in interior architecture provided a technical foundation, it was my parallel exploration into graphic design that truly unleashed my artistic side. 🎉
